Feeling horny? Get yourself to the Musical Instrument Museum

One of the sexiest sax (saxiest?) exhibits in the world can be found in Brussels at the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM).

With the inventor of the saxophone, Adolphe Sax, having been born in Belgium (Dinant), it stands to reason that a suitable homage might be located nearby. This truly remarkable museum is housed in the luscious art nouveau “Old England” building where visitors can listen to over 200 musical instruments on display via a handheld audio wand. The horn section alone is worth the pilgrimage!

Many of these incredible instruments look as if they could have come from the imagination of Dr. Seuss.

The MIM collection has been around since 1877 but moved to its current location in 2000.

MIM is located just around the corner from the Magritte Museum and very near one of the great Belgian chocolatiers Laurent Gerbaud.
